In the past few weeks, we have seen history take place as the first woman ever was nominated to be the next leader of the free world. Although it is a work in progress, women all over the world are being recognized as bold leaders. This week’s featured org is a community that is working to empower girls from all walks of life to be better, stronger, and smarter. My Girlfriend’s House, Inc. believes that all young women have the potential to be fervent leaders in our community. Through after school programs, mentoring, summer camps and more, My Girlfriend’s House works to give underprivileged teen girls the opportunity to achieve the American Dream. They believe that by empowering these young women and enhancing their self-confidence, they can live independent and fruitful lives regardless of their past or background.
My Girlfriend’s House is dedicated to overcome the adversity of bullying, low self-esteem, family issues, etc. that may hinder young girls from reaching their fullest potential. More than 150 teenage girls every year participate in the wonderful mentoring, educational, and volunteer programs that My Girlfriend’s House provides. To learn how you can get involved in the next generation of female leaders, head on over to My Girlfriend’s House website.
